وهذا القرب المتعدد الأبعاد الجغرافية والتاريخية والسياسية والديموغرافية له انعكاسات مباشرة على جنوب غرب آسيا والمنطقة الخليجية، ومع ذلك تظل بَلوُشستان ثقباً أسوداً للإعلام العالمي. يضم هذا الكتاب أكثر من مئتي مقالة تتناول فترة الحداثة من حياة الوعي القومي البَلوُشي، وتتنوع هذه المقالات في مواضيعها التي تحلل التاريخ السياسي البَلوُشي والأحداث الجارية في بَلوُشستان، المقسمة بين إيران وباكستان وأفغانستان، لتغطي الفترة بين عام 2005 وحتى عام 2014

وفق رؤى موضوعية في رصد المجريات التاريخية خلال القرن العشرين والحادي والعشرين وآثارها على الثورة البَلوُشية الجارية. ومع الحرب التي تمتد في المنطقة على الجماعات الإسلاموية، تكتسب القضية البَلوُشية أهمية إضافية. فوسائل الإعلام السائدة تغطي سائر أنحاء المنطقة بين أفغانستان وباكستان مع التركيز بشكل خاص على الحرب ضد الإرهاب الديني، غير أن هناك وعياًَ ضئيلاً حول الحركة القومية البَلوُشية، والتي هي مختلفة تماماً عن تلك السائدة، فهي كما يصفها المحللون على النقيض من طالبان والحركات الإسلاموية في المنطقة

من خلال قراءة هذا الكتاب، سيطلع القارئ على تقييم شامل للوضع السياسي والاجتماعي والاقتصادي والثقافي في بَلوُشستان. والمؤلف من خلال هذه المقالات ينقل خلاصة معارفه وقراءاته الغزيرة ليرسم خارطة اليقظة البَلوُشية. وذلك بربطها بمختلف الحركات التنويرية والحقوقية بتعدد سياقاتها. فبخيوط من كوردستان إلى ميانمار، ومن إيرلندا إلى فلسطين، فالأرجنتين وجنوب أفريقيا، وليس آخراً الهند وأستراليا، حبك المؤلف مجموعة من القضايا الإنسانية، وعكس أضواءها وتجاربها على القضية البََلوُشية، ليقدم مدونة نضالية تضاف إلى أدب المقاومة، لتلهم وترشد كل نفس تتوق للحرية الإنسانية.

مير محمد علي تالبور: أحد أهم المفكرين البَلوُش في التنظير للقضية البَلوُشية. ولد في حيدر آباد، بالسند، عام 1945. ونال درجة البكالوريوس من جامعة كراتشي عام 1969، والتحق بقسم الصحافة لنيل درجة الماجستير. غير أنه قرر ترك دراسته والالتحاق بالجبال البَلوُشستانية، لينضم إلى مقاتلي الحرية في عام 1971. وقضى من عمره عقدين يذود عن جبال بَلوُشستان، ليجعل ذلك من حياته مرآة للتاريخ البَلوُشي المعاصر. وهو مستمر في نشر الوعي عن قضية بَلوُشستان بالكتابة في مختلف الصحف مثل (داون) و(الديلي تايمز) و(ذا بوست) ومنشورات أخرى. وغير مكتفٍ بالكتابة وحدها، انضم مير محمد علي، في عقده السابع، إلى المسيرة البَلوُشية الاحتجاجية الطويلة بقيادة عبد القدير الريكي والسيدات البَلوُشيات الشجاعات اللواتي تم اختطاف أقربائهن، لمدة خمسة وعشرين يوماً من ما مجموعه مئة وستة أيام من المسير مشياً على الأقدام، ليحكوا للعالم حكاية الشعب البَلوُشي

BOOK RELEASE: THE BALOCH AWAKENING: ESSAYS ON THE BALOCH QUESTION

An ethnicity inhabit a mountainous region straddling the borders of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, which are in recent decades have increasingly influenced regional developments in its fight for national independence.

In the mere 30 miles of the infamous Gulf region there exists Balochistan, a region divided between Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, which is a black hole for the global media. This geographical, historical, political and demographic multi-dimensional proximity have direct implications on South-West Asia and the Gulf region.

This book includes more than two hundred essays dealing with the modernity period of the Baloch national consciousness, and they vary in their themes to analyze the political history of the Baloch and the ongoing events in Balochistan between 2005 - 2014.

With the war in the region against Islamist groups, the Baloch question is gaining increasing prominence. The prevailing media covers across the region between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with a particular focus on the war against religious terrorism, yet there is a little awareness about the Baloch nationalist movement. It is strikingly different from the mainstream, some of the analysts described it as an antithesis of the Taliban and Islamist movements in the region.

By reading this book, you will acquire a comprehensive assessment of the political, social, economic and cultural situation in Balochistan. Mir Mohammad Ali Talpur, one of the most important theorizers of the Baloch question, was born in 1945 Hyderabad Sindh. He received a bachelor degree from the University of Karachi in 1969 before joining the Department of Journalism for Master's degree. However, he decided to leave school and go to Balochistan’s mountains, to join the freedom fighters in 1971. He spent two decades as a freedom fighter, to make his life a mirror for the contemporary history of the Baloch. He continues to raise awareness about the issue of Balochistan, writing in various newspapers such as (Dawn), (Daily Times), (The Post) and other publications.
Not limited to writing, the septuagenarian Mir Muhammad Ali joined the Baloch Long March, led by Abdul Qadeer Reigi and brave Baloch ladies, as their relatives were kidnapped, to protest for a period of twenty-five days out of a total of one hundred and six days walking on foot, to tell the world the story of the Baloch people.

Translated into Arabic by Ahmed Yaqoub and Salah Al-Balushi, it will be released in Abu Dhabi Book Fair 2015 and will be available through Arab Diffusion Press in print version (810 pages).
